FAQ
What taxi drivers ask before they start
Is there a free trial?
Yes. You get 7 days free with every feature, without entering a card. When it ends you decide whether to continue with the yearly or the monthly plan.
Does it work with Free Now, Uber, Cabify or Bolt?
Yes. You create each platform with its commission percentage and VAT once. When you log an app ride, you pick the platform and TaxiCaja deducts the commission, logs it as an expense and shows you the net.
Do I have to give my name, ID or plate number?
No. Just an email and a password. Nobody can know who you are or what you log, and you can delete your account and data whenever you want from the app itself.
Do I have to log expenses?
No. You can use rides and shifts only. But if you log expenses you'll see your real profit: what's left per ride, per hour and per km after all costs.
What expenses can I log?
Daily: fuel (with litres, price and discount), parking, tolls, car wash, garage, oil, tyres, meals and coffees. Fixed: insurance, contributions, MOT, accountant, tax modules, VAT, permit, radio, licence and garage, with the frequency you choose. The app generates the year's payments automatically.
How does vehicle depreciation work?
If you paid cash, enter the value, the year and the depreciation years, and the app spreads the monthly amount. If you have a loan, renting or leasing, log the instalment as a fixed expense. Same for the licence and the garage.
What is meter-total mode?
A way to close the day without logging ride by ride: enter the meter totals (total, fixed-price jobs, surcharges, occupied and empty km, services per platform) and the app works out income, commissions, net and occupancy.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Ride and shift history to Excel, the economic summary to PDF and Excel, and the schedule to PDF. One tap, for your accountant or for you.
Do I need an internet connection?
Yes: your data is stored encrypted in the cloud so you don't lose it if you change phone and so it's on all your devices. If you lose signal for a moment, the app tells you and you retry as soon as it's back.
Which phones does it work on?
iPhone and Android. The interface is designed to be used one-handed, between rides.
How do I cancel?
From your App Store or Google Play subscription, at any time. No lock-in and nobody to call.
How do I get support?
From the app (Summary → Suggestions or issues) or by writing to soporte@taxicaja.com. Every message gets a ticket number and a person answers it, usually in under 24 hours.
